Leaders of People’s Council and Provincial People’s Committee attended the Children’s Forum

(LSO) – On 5 July, in Lang Son city, the Department of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA) in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training, Lang Son Provincial Youth Union organized Children’s Forum with the theme: “Join hands to protect children, prevent violence and child abuse” in 2020.

Attended the forum were Mrs. Doan Thi Hau, Standing Vice Chairwoman of Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Chairman of the Sponsoring Council of the Provincial Children Support Fund; leaders of departments, agencies, unions of the province, leaders of districts, city and 210 children.

At the forum, leaders of People’s Councils, People’s Committees and leaders of departments, agencies, and unions of the province listened to children expressing their dreams, aspirations, concerns about problems at school, in society, including school violence and child abuse and so forth.

In the forum, there was a dialogue between children and leaders of departments and sectors on the issues that children concern, policies for children, and trusted addresses to protect children from school problems and in society etc.

Speaking at the forum, Mr. Vice Chairman suggested that Party Committees at all levels, authorities, Fatherland Front Committees, departments, agencies, organizations – unions continue to raise awareness and strengthen leadership role for the care, education and protection of children. Thereby the effective implementation of 25 children’s rights prescribed by the Children Law is ensured.

Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs – the standing body for child work continues to work with departments and agencies to review, recommend and propose amendments, supplements and completion of regulations on children care, education and protection towards expanding social security and welfare policies for children, especially children from poor families and children in remote areas associated with the national action program for children in the next period.

Leaders of the province, leaders of departments, sectors and unions visited the displaying of some children’s paintings at the forum

On this occasion, leaders of People’s Council, People’s Committee, DOLISA presented gifts to 60 children and 150 students from Lang Son city participating in the forum.

On the sidelines of the program, children’s delegates can watch 3D movies and visit some of the provincial landscapes.
