Honoring outstanding students and teachers in the 2021-2022 school year

On the morning of June 10, the Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to commend and reward outstanding students and teachers in the 2021-2022 school year. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mrs. Doan Thi Hau, Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; the leaders of departments, commissions and sectors of the province.

According to the report of the Department of Education and Training, in the 2021-2022 school year, the sector has persevered in overcoming difficulties caused by COVID-19 pandemic to complete the school year plan, maintained the emulation in teaching and learning. The comprehensive education of students in schools has received great attention; the organization of exams and contests has been carried out effectively and according to the plan.

Notably, in the national-level examination for excellent student the 2021-2022 school year, there were 12 candidates winning 1 first prize, 3 third prizes, and 8 fourth prizes (up 2 prizes compared to the school year 2020-2021). In the national science and technology contest for high school students, Lang Son province had 2 projects by 4 contestants who won 1 second prize and 1 third prize. In the national youth creative competition, 3 solutions of 5 contestants won 2 third prizes and 1 fourth prize;…

Regarding provincial competitions and contests, in the school year, 143 teachers won the title of excellent teachers at the provincial level and 1,507 students won the title of excellent students at the provincial level.

With the results achieved, in the coming time, the Department of Education and Training would continue to popularize the purpose and meaning of training excellent and gifted students; well organize exams, contests and competitions associated with the emulation movement “Innovation and creativity in management, teaching and learning”; promote digital transformation in education; improve the quality of mass education as a premise for improving the quality of spearhead education; promptly provide encouragement and recognition for teachers and students achieving high results in exams, contests, competitions…

Speaking at the commendation ceremony, Mr. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee recognized and praised the achievements of the staff, teachers and students of the province’s education sector achieved during the past school year.

He suggested that in the coming school year, the provincial education sector should continue to focus on implementing seriously and effectively the resolutions and action programs to implement the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress and the resolutions of Party congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term; guiding documents of the Central Government, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People’s Council, the Provincial People’s Committee on fundamental and comprehensive renovation of education and training; synchronously implement solutions to improve the quality of comprehensive education; strengthen the training of excellent students; continue to build and improve the quality of teachers and educational administrators…

At the same time, it was necessary to continue to focus on investing in school facilities, maximizing resources as well as the participation of the whole society in educational development; to improve the effectiveness of the study promotion.

At the ceremony, 16 students with high achievements in national competitions and contests and 12 teachers with students winning prizes were awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.

Chu Van An High School for the Gifted and 1 individual were awarded certificates of merit by the Minister of Education and Training for their achievements in 10 years of implementing the Project on developing the system of specialized schools; 6 students who won national, regional and international prizes were awarded certificates of merit by the Minister of Education and Training.

On this occasion, the Director of the Department of Education and Training presented certificates of merit to outstanding teachers and students in the 2021-2022 school year and those achieved high achievements in provincial competitions and contests.
