Lang Son youth to build new rural areas

Promoting the impulsive role of youth, over the past time, Youth Unions at all levels have actively and creatively accompanied the communes to build new and improved rural areas. Thereby, the Unions made practical contributions to creating a bright, green, clean and beautiful rural areas.

At this time, coming to Lang Mun village, Quan Son commune, Chi Lang district, many people will be surprised by the change in the appearance of the village. If in the past, infrastructure, landscape and environment were still limited, now the road in the center of the village is lit up every night by many electric bulbs; the slope next to the road built solidly; There are many flowers and ornamental plants on both sides of the road; the village has a spacious cultural house and a play area for children; The patchy walls on both sides of the road were replaced by beautiful paintings… This is a bright – green – clean – beautiful – civilized residential project impletemented by the commune youth union and put into operation from December 2021 with a total cost of more than 700 million VND, of which most is from socialization.

Not only Mun village, in all communes in the province, the youth union has organized many voluntary activities to build new rural areas.

Mr. Lang Van Chi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union said: In order for the Youth Union’s activities to join hands in building new rural areas with high efficiency, every year, the Provincial Youth Union’s Standing Committee develops a plan to implement the movement “Lang Son Youth join hands in building new rural areas”. In which, the Union focuses on such contents as propagandizing, mobilizing and thoroughly grasping the guidelines of the Party, policies and laws of the State on new rural construction; participating in the construction of rural infrastructure; supporting rural youth in economic development; participating in building a new cultural life, maintaining security and order in rural areas; mobilizing resources to participate in building new rural areas…

In addition to the general tasks, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union also set basic targets for the unions to strive for. In order to accomplish the above contents, the activity of joining hands to build  new rural areas is integrated with all campaigns and action programs of the Union. Along with that, every quarter, the Provincial Youth Union launches a new rural construction peak day with the participation of all unions.

Implementing the plan to implement the movement “Lang Son youth join hands to build new rural areas” at all levels, the unions have actively reviewed and studied the situation of building new rural areas in the commune. On the basis of the criteria to be met in terms of traffic and environment…, the youth unions of the communes actively advise the Party committees and authorities and undertake the implementation. Along with that, the unions of communes actively mobilized human and material resources from agencies, townships, sister units inside and outside the province and youth union members in the commune. This approach has mobilized considerable funds, materials, equipment and human resources to carry out the works.

Mr. Phung Van Huy, Secretary of the Youth Union of Gia Loc commune, Chi Lang district said: Over the past time, the commune delegation has focused on implementing criteria on rural transport and environment, thereby contributing to helping the commune to meet new rural standards in 2019. From 2020, together with the commune in building an enhanced new rural area, the commune union has implemented 22 projects and tasks.

Joining hands to build new rural areas, from 2021 up to now, the province’s delegation has supported 360 young people who are owners of poor households, disadvantaged youth, and start-ups to build economic models. Promoting its role in volunteering activities for the community, the Youth Union has organized more than 4,000 propaganda activities on building a cultural life in residential areas for more than 120,000 turns of youth union members and people. built 61 works to light up village roads with a length of 65,000m, worth more than 750 million VND; concreted more than 34,000 m of roads; built 500 incinerators; organized more than 2,600 environmental cleaning sessions…with tens of thousands of youth union members participating. In particular, through campaign funding from units, businesses, benefactors, unions at all levels have built 2 models of bright – green – clean – beautiful – civilized residential areas; built 23 new houses, repaired 30 houses for people with difficult circumstances; put into operation 4 people’s bridges, 8 cultural houses, 35 playgrounds for children with a total value of 2.2 billion VND…

Ms.Hoang Thi Ngoc, union member of Dinh Lap commune, Dinh Lap district said: Participating in the implementation of new rural construction projects, I feel very proud because I have contributed a part of my efforts to make the face of the village and hamlet better and better. I will continue to participate in activities when mobilized.

The activities of joining hands to build new rural areas by unions of the whole province have contributed to helping 75 communes achieve new rural standards, 12 communes achieve new advanced rural areas. In the coming time, the Youth Unions at all levels will continue to be creative in their organization, effectively deploying activities together to build new rural areas.
