Lang Son reviews preparations for investment promotion conference

(LSO) – The organising board of the 2019 investment promotion conference of Lang Son province held a meeting on September 24 to review preparations for the upcoming event.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ho Tien Thieu chaired the meeting, which was also attended by Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; Hoang Van Nghiem, Standing Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; and Pham Ngoc Thuong, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.

At the session, the Department of Planning and Investment reported on the preparations for the conference. A clip on Lang Son’s potential, advantages and investment opportunities that will be screened at the coming event was also reviewed.

The permanent members of the provincial Party Committee commented that the clip features important points, but it should further highlight local potential and advantages in each field, the ensured social security and safety, and the province’s investment incentives so as to show that Lang Son will be a successful destination for investors.

Organisers also gave opinions about the detailed agenda for the conference, activities to be held on its sidelines, and the improvement of landscape to welcome the event.

Addressing the meeting, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ho Tien Thieu highly valued the preparations by the sub-committees on content and security – order.

He asked the Department of Planning and Investment and the consulting unit to actively work with relevant sides to perfect the clip in line with the instructions given at the meeting. Meanwhile, the sub-committee on content needs to thoroughly review the content and details of the conference, zone a suitable area for reporters, and gear up equipment to broadcast the conference live.

The sub-committee on security – order has to deploy personnel to check security across the venue of the conference, the venue of the ceremony opening the Bac Giang – Lang Son Expressway, as well as the places that central-level officials and foreign guests are set to visit. It must also step up the control of local traffic for those activities.

The official called on all the departments, sectors and forces of the province to enhance their sense of responsibility to fulfill the assigned tasks for the successful investment promotion conference of Lang Son.
