Meaning of back-to-history activities

In the past time, the party organizations under the Party Committee of the Bloc of the provincial agencies have always paid attention to the organization of thematic activities, in which, the back-to-history trips to “red addresses” are frequently held. This is a meaningful form of activity, attracting the attention of a large number of party members, contributing to the renewal and improvement of the activity quality of the party cells.

At the end of July, the Party cell of the Propaganda and Education Commission of the Provincial Party Committee held a back-to-history trip to in Bac Son district. Within the schedule, the delegation visited Temple of Heroes and Martyrs, Bac Son Museum, Khuoi Noi relic site where National Salvation Team 1 was established. Here, officials and party members reviewed the glorious revolutionary tradition of the nation, the great sacrifices of the previous generations in the fight for national independence and defense of the Fatherland.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Son, Secretary of the Party cell said: “The trip has attracted the attention of officials and party members. This is an opportunity not only to propagate and educate about the tradition “drinking water, remember its source”, to arouse pride in local historical traditions, but also to show flexibility in carrying out thematic activities. This event helps the Party cell continue to develop annual back-to-history activities plan, contributing to raising the awareness and responsibility of Party members to successfully complete the assigned goals and tasks.”

Previously, at the end of May 2022, 3 party cells including that of Employment Service Center, Office 1, Nursing Center for people with meritorious services (under the Party Committee of Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs) had a visit to the historical site K9 in Ba Vi, Hanoi. This is an activity of practical significance, helping each cadre and party member better understand the days when President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked at K9 Historic Site. The knowledge and information of the trip has contributed to motivating officials and party members to continue to make better effort at work.

Mrs. Nong Thi Thuy, a member of the Party cell of Office 1, shared: “The trip helped me understand more deeply about Uncle Ho’s sacrifice and great heart. I told myself that I would try my best to study, successfully complete the assigned tasks, contribute to building my more prosperous, beautiful and civilized homeland, country as Uncle Ho always wanted.

According to preliminary statistics, from 2021 up to now, the entire Party Committee of the Bloc of provincial agencies has nearly 20 party cells and party committees that organize thematic activities in the form of back-to-history trips to “red addresses” inside and outside the province. Specifically, the Party Committee of the Provincial Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development organized a back-to-history trip to Hoang Van Thu memorial area, Van Lang district; the Party cell of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee visited historical sites in Khuat Xa commune, Loc Binh district; the Party cell of Provincial Women’s Union visited to Truong Son Martyrs Cemetery (Quang Tri province)…

This is not only the content to concretize the annual thematic activity plan of each grassroots party organization, but also shows the initiative and creativity of the Party Committee in attracting officials and party members to participate in the activities, thereby contributing to improving the quality of the Party’s activities and building an increasigly stronger Party organization. In 2020, the percentage of party cells and party committees that completed their tasks well or better is 92.7%, in 2021, this rate has increased to 98.5%.

Mr. Hoang Chinh, Head of the Organization Division of the Party Committee of the Bloc of the provincial agencies, said: “The renovation of the content and form of the thematic activities of party organizations over the past time has contributed to improving the quality of activities of the Party cells and traditional revolutionary education, and at the same time, improving the leadership capacity and combat strength of the party’s grassroots organizations, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

In the coming time, the Standing Committee of Party Committee of the Bloc of the provincial agencies will continue to direct the party cells and Party committees to actively research and organize thematic activities in various forms, suitable to the practical situation of each agency and unit, towards the goal of improving the activity quality of the Party cell, building a clean and strong grassroots Party organization.
