Provincial People’s Committee organizes the scholarship awarding ceremony “For your studiousness”

On the afternoon of August 30, the Provincial People’s Committee held the scholarship awarding ceremony “For your studiousness” in the school year 2022 – 2023. The program “For your studiousness” has been implemented by Viettel (Military Telecommunications Industry Corporation) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training, Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education since 2014 with the aim of supporting children in difficult circumstances but with good study result with the simple message “When millions of small dreams need a big deed”. For Lang Son province, 2022 is the 8th year that Viettel Lang Son has implemented the program “For your studiousness” for students in the province.

At the ceremony, the representative of Viettel Lang Son awarded 960 scholarships worth over 1.9 billion VND to the Provincial People’s Committee sending to poor studious students in the province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions and support of Viettel Lang Son to social welfare in the province over the past time, especially for the education and training sector on supporting students and implementing digital transformation in educational activities.

He hoped that in the coming time, Viettel Lang Son would continue to join all levels and sectors in the province to organize more social welfare activities to support people and students with difficult circumstances, thereby, together with the province, well implement the goals of socio-economic development, especially in areas with many difficulties. At the same time, information infrastructure would continue to be provided to remote areas of the province, thereby contributing to promoting digital transformation and building a digital society in the province.

He requested the Department of Education and Training to quickly develop a plan and send scholarships to poor students with good study results, students with difficult circumstances who are studious in the province at the beginning of the new school year 2022 – 2023 to support their study.
