A provincial leader meets with business community in Huu Lung district

On the afternoon of September 23, 2022, Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee met with 150 businesses, cooperatives and business households representing 8,040 businesses, cooperatives and business households in Huu Lung district.

According to the report of the People’s Committee of Huu Lung district, in the first 8 months of the year, businesses and cooperatives created jobs for nearly 4,000 workers in the area with an average income of 6 million VND/person/month, contributing 64.2 billion VND to the state budget.

In addition, the business community, cooperatives and business households of Huu Lung district also actively participated in charity and social welfare activities in the district with more than 1.5 billion VND and 2,500 m3 of stone of all kinds to build rural infrastructure works in the first 8 months of 2022.

At the meeting, the business community, cooperatives and business households in Huu Lung district proposed 8 contents and 9 recommendations related to the support for the consumption of agricultural products, business management training, problems in the implementation of procedures to expand production and business establishments, tax debt extension, electronic tax collection…

Regarding the recommendations and difficulties of businesses, leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee, functional departments, sectors and People’s Committee of Huu Lung district received and answered directly at the meeting.

Concluding at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasized: “Huu Lung district is an area with a large number of businesses, the role of businesses in Huu Lung district is very important in implementing socio-economic development of the district as well as of the province. Through dialogue, leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee have understood the difficulties and problems, hence, there will be direction to relevant levels and sectors to urgently solve them.”

Regarding the tasks of the coming time, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee suggested that the business community in Huu Lung district focus on studying mechanisms and policies, orientations for business development of the province, promote digital transformation to improve the efficiency of production, business as well as to enjoy the policies of the state.

In addition, businesses were required to continue to perform well their responsibilities for social welfare work as well as to contribute initiatives for the province’s quick and sustainable development. Departments and sectors should continue to receive and support the settlement of administrative procedures for the business community.

Regarding the recommendations beyond the authority of the Provincial People’s Committee, he suggested that the sectors summarize them so that the Provincial People’s Committee could send them to the central government for consideration and settlement according to its competence.
