A meeting of the Provincial Steering Committee on digital transformation of Lang Son

On the morning of September 28, Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee on digital transformation chaired an online meeting of the Provincial Steering Committee on digital transformation of Lang Son in the third quarter of 2022. Attending the meeting were members of the Provincial Steering Committee, districts, Lang Son city, related agencies and units. The online meeting was connected to districts and Lang Son city in the province.

Over the past time, digital transformation in the province has been drastically performed. It has achieved a number of important results, creating a foundation for the implementation of the province’s digital transformation in the next period. Awareness of all levels, sectors, people and businesses in the province about digital transformation has been significantly raised. 11/11 districts and city have consolidated their steering committee on digital transformation at district-level. The province has consolidated over 1,600 community digital technology groups with nearly 7,900 members playing a key role in bringing digital technology and skills to the people.

All 5 pillars of digital transformation have been implemented synchronously and comprehensively, in which priority is given to a number of areas such as agricultural economic development, education, health care, digital border gate, and the provision of online public service at level 3, 4… Thereby, it has made important contributions to the socio-economic development of the province, especially during the complicated development of COVID-19 pandemic; actively contributed to improving the ranking of PCI, PAPI, SIPAS and PAR INDEX of the province. As of September 2022, Lang Son has completed 17/30 targets to 2025 set out in Resolution No. 49 dated September 28, 2021 of the Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee on “Digital transformation of Lang Son province” to 2025, orientation to 2030″.

At this meeting, the drafting unit presented the draft plan of the Provincial People’s Committee on digital transformation for roads and streets, attaching QR codes to street nameplates, relics and scenic spots in Lang Son province in order to provide historical information, the names of famous people associated with the streets and scenic sites, helping people and tourists to easily search for information, contributing to education and propaganda about historical values, demonstrating the civilization and modernity in applying digital technology to all aspects of social life, proceeding to multi-dimensional information connection, gradually applying digital technology to industries and fields of socio-economic life.

At the meeting, leaders of the units reported and discussed the implementation of Xu Lang digital citizenship; electronic payment accounts; proposal on phone wave coverage in some communes; training for the community digital technology groups, solutions to increase the rate of using online public services…

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee on digital transformation, highly appreciated the efforts of the departments, commissions, sectors, People’s Committees of districts and city and people in performing digital transformation. He also pointed out the shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome in the future. He emphasized that, in order to effectively implement digital transformation, in the coming time, the Department of Information and Communications was required to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to review the components with low achievement and improve them in October 2022; to strengthen the training of human resources serving digital transformation in the direction of attracting qualified staff to work at agencies and units; People’s Committees of districts and city, departments, commissions, sectors should arrange funds for investment in infrastructure and equipment for digital transformation; to continue to well coordinate between all levels and sectors, in which, the Department of Information and Communications plays a leading role in digital transformation; to promote propaganda, support and guide people and businesses to participate in the digital transformation. With the draft plan on digital transformation for streets, attaching QR codes to street names and scenic relic sites in Lang Son province, the Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for digital transformation assigned the Department of Information and Communications to absorb, edit and supplement the draft content, in which it was necessary to specify the information that needed to be encrypted, the time to synthesize information, the time to attach the plate…
