At the ceremony, the leader of the Provincial Public Security Department presented the content and announced the order to launch a counter-crime campaign to ensure security and order during the Lunar New Year, the year of the Rabbit 2023. Accordingly, the campaign lasts from November 15, 2022 to February 5, 2023, with objectives and requirements of ensuring security and order in all fields, preventing anti-state activities of the hostile forces and; proactively attacking and suppressing all kinds of crimes, strictly handling violations of the law; improving the efficiency and effectiveness of state management of social order; strengthening the movement “All people protect national security”; focusing on handling and solving issues at the grassroots level, stably maintaining security before, during, after Tet and spring festivals in 2023…

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasized: “The task of ensuring security before, during and after the Lunar New Year, the year of the Rabbit in 2023 is one of the key tasks of the province, contributing to an enjoyable, safe and joyful Tet.

He asked the police force of the province to proactively control the situation, to promptly advise and propose solutions to ensure security in service of socio-economic development and foreign affairs of the province, especially in the field of trade, border trade, import and export of goods; to closely coordinate with relevant departments, boards, sectors and forces to protect internal politics and the State secrets, to ensure information security and cyber security; to fight against anti-State activities of reactionaries and those with complicated political views in the locality; to actively propagate, fight and refuse false and hostile claims; to synchronously implement measures to prevent and effectively fight against crimes, social evils and violations of the law in all fields.

In addition, it was also necessary to strengthen political and ideological education, to strictly prevent officers and soldiers from negativity, to maintain discipline at work; to proactively propose units and individuals with outstanding achievements in the implementation of the campaign for encouragement and award from the leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee.

In the program, the Provincial Public Security Department held a parade to promote the implementation of the campaign in Lang Son city.
