Reviewing the work of science and education

On the morning of December 20, the Propaganda and Education Commission of Provincial Party Committee held a conference to review the science and education work in 2022 and announce the tasks in 2023. In 2022, the Propaganda and Education Commission of Provincial Party Committee closely followed its tasks, proactively advised the Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee to issue documents and plans to direct, implement, and summarize resolutions, directives of the Party in the field of science and education; request Propaganda and Education Commission of districts and city to actively coordinate with relevant sectors to advise their Party Committees to issue documents to effectively implement tasks in science and education work.

Accordingly, the quality and efficiency of science and education activities in the province has been gradually improved. The quality of education continues to be enhanced, typically the rate of high school graduates at 97.9% (up 0.15% compared to 2021), there are 18 additional schools recognized as meeting national standards. Scientific, technological research and application activities have been effectively implemented with 50 provincial-level topics and projects implemented on schedule; 25 models are applied to production in some districts.

Vocational education and job placement activities are promoted; environmental protection, sports and child protection continue to receive attention; disease prevention and control and people’s health care are ensured, health insurance continues to become popular, the COVID-19 vaccination campaign is carried out as planned, ensuring safety…

At the conference, the delegates clarified the results achieved in their unit’s science and education work, shared difficulties in the implementation of tasks; proposed solutions to overcome difficulties in the coming time and agreed on the key tasks of science and education work in 2023.

Specifically, in 2023, the Propaganda and Education Commission of Provincial Party Committee, departments and sectors in the science and education block would continue to advise their Party Committees to direct the implementation of tasks in science and education work; continue to well implement the regulation on coordination between the Propaganda and Education Commission of Provincial Party Committee and sectors and organizations in the science and education block. The education and training sector set target to have 15 additional schools meeting national standards; the health sector expected to maintain over 96% of the population managed and updated with health information, effectively exploiting and using electronic health record management software, and tried to have 200 communes achieved the set of national criteria on commune health; the labor, war invalids and social affairs sector would continue to perform well the information, propaganda work and maintain job placement consultancy, vocational training advice for employees…
