Revewing internal affairs, anti-corruption and judicial reform

On the afternoon of January 3, the Provincial Party Committee held a conference to review internal affairs, anti-corruption and judicial reform in 2022, announcing the tasks of 2023. Deputy Standing Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Judicial Reform of Hoang Van Nghiem chaired the conference.

In 2022, the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, and the Provincial Steering Committee for Judicial Reform have seriously led, directed and specified the timely dissemination of the policies of the Party and State on internal affairs, anti-corruption, judicial reform.

Accordingly, the propaganda and prevention of corruption and negativity have experienced many innovations; functional agencies have handled 2 cases of embezzlement of assets of non-state enterprises; 2 sources of citizens reporting crimes have been clarified; 2 cases and 3 people prosecuted for corruption.

The judicial reform has been well implemented, the procedure-conducting agencies and related ones always coordinate closely from receiving information. The results of the investigation and handling of crimes have reached a high rate, the rate of case discovery has been 96.28%, especially that of especially serious cases has reached 100%; the number of cases in need of additional investigation among the proceedings-conducting agencies decreased; the has been no wrongful conviction or omission of crimes.

In addition to the achievements, in 2022, there are still some shortcomings and limitations. The number of officials and party members who violate the law and are criminally handled has increased, including officials of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; the complaints and denunciations of people related to some projects is still complicated…

At the conference, the delegates also discussed and clarified the results, analyzed the shortcomings and limitations at the units and localities.

Addressing the conference, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested Party committees at all levels, party organizations and agencies to raise their awareness and responsibility, to continue to disseminate, understand and strictly implement the resolutions and directives of the Party, the laws of the State, the written requests of the province on internal affairs, anti-corruption and judicial reform; to strengthen the protection of internal politics and state secrets; to renew form of propaganda, to focus on warning and preventing crimes early, avoiding small violations developing into big ones.

He expected that leaders of districts and Lang Son city would do well in receiving citizens and handling petitions in their area. Agencies in the internal affairs sector were required to be more proactive in consulting Party Committees and Provincial Steering Committees in leading and directing the implementation of internal affairs, anti-corruption and judicial reform. Additionally, it was necessary to coordinate in investigating, verifying and handling cases of corruption and negative; to well implement plans to ensure security and order in the Lunar New Year  2023.

On this occasion, 7 units and 1 individual received certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; 3 units and 7 individuals received certificates of merit from the Head of the Internal Affairs Commission of the Provincial Party Committee for outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to implement anticorruption and prevention of negative and wastefulness in 2022; 9 individuals received medals honoring the contribution for the internal affairs of the Party
