Prime Minister holds dialogue with young people

On the morning of March 22, in Hanoi, the Government Office held the Prime Minister’s Dialogue Conference with young people in 2023. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and chaired the conference. The conference is connected online to connection points in 63 provinces and cities across the country.

At the connection point of Lang Son province, attending the conference were Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee. Also attending the conference were leaders of provincial departments, agencies, Lang Son Provincial Youth Union and representatives of union members and youth in the province.

This is an important forum for the Government and the Prime Minister to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of young people on the path of establishing themselves, establishing a career, aspiration to rise up, master science and technology, and build the country.  A forum to show affection, responsibility and concern of the Party, State and Government to the youth, for the development of the youth. On the 92nd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2023) Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented flowers to congratulate the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; presented gifts to 10 typical young faces in 2022 and 10 promising young faces in 2022.

With the theme “Building high-quality young human resources to meet the 4.0 era”, the conference focused on three groups of issues including: education and training for the purpose of developing high-quality young human resources to meet the requirements of the 4.0 era; physical training, improving the cultural and spiritual life of young people; creating an environment for young people to start a business and be creative.

At the conference, the Prime Minister and ministers had a dialogue with union members, youth and union officials on many issues such as building high-quality human resources in the digital era; educational innovation solutions to improve creativity and applied thinking for pupils and students; solutions to support young workers to equip themselves with necessary skills to participate in the current labor market; housing issues for young workers and young labors; solutions to fulfill the targets of young people participating in scientific research; youth development strategy; policies and strategies for the development of Vietnamese products; cybersecurity issues… Questions from union members and youth were answered and oriented by ministers and the Prime Minister.

Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed: The conference is a very meaningful meeting, a forum for young people to share their thoughts, concerns, and feelings through responsible and right questions with issues of concern. Listening to the voices of young people, leaders of ministries and sectors need to have concerns, think, answer and come up with appropriate solutions. The Party and State always highly appreciate the important role and position of youth in the cause of national building and defense; encourage contribution from the youth…

The Prime Minister hoped that today’s young people to continue the tradition of the previous generation, always upholding the sense of responsibility and dedication; pioneering in learning, production, innovation and international integration.
