86 students participate in drawing contest of geoheritage and intangible cultural heritage of Lang Son Geopark on pebbles

On the morning of March 25, the Provincial Management Board of Geopark coordinated with the Advisory Group on the building and development of Lang Son Geopark of Binh Gia District to organize a Drawing Contest of geoheritage and intangible cultural heritage in Lang Son Geopark on pebbles at Minh Khai Primary School, Binh Gia District.

86 students participated in the contest from Minh Khai Primary and Secondary School, Binh Gia District, which are the two schools in Lang Son Geopark, they were divided into 24 teams.

Here, the contestants has 3 hours (from 8 am to 11 am) to design and draw geological heritage (cave, valley, waterfall, river, stream, lake, mountain range, fossil, etc.) and intangible cultural heritage in the area of Lang Son Geopark on pebbles, forming a souvenir set of Lang Son Geopark.

According to the evaluation of the organizers, the careful preparation, creativity and serious work of the students produced impressive and in-depth products.

The contest contributes to improving the information and education about geological and intangible cultural heritages in Lang Son Geopark, diversifying forms of propaganda and education about Lang Son Geopark in schools, creating opportunities for students to demonstrate their understanding and passion for learning about the local geological heritage and cultural values, providing a useful playground for students to exchange, share, improve knowledge and develop soft skills and show their talents.

At the end of the contest, the organizers awarded 15 thematic prizes, 3 fourth prizes, 3 third prizes, 2 second prizes, 1 first prize for the work “Lion-cat head” by Nguyen Lam Duc Kien, grade 5 of Minh Khai Primary School, Binh Gia District.
