For the last 20 years, the hospital has treated nearly 5 million patients, 25% of them foreigners. It has been accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) three times.
Currently, the hospital has 230 beds, and 36 specialties with the capacity of receiving 1,500 patients daily. In 2006, it established a charity fund and invited many of the world’s leading surgeons to Vietnam to treat more than 600 disadvantaged children with birth defects.
Duong Anh Duc, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, acknowledged the contributions by the hospital to the city’s healthcare sector over the years, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Duc said that with the JCI, the hospital creates advantages for the city as it aims to attract foreigners who come there for both tourism and medical purposes./.
