Lang Son Customs (Vietnam) – Nanning Customs (China) held talks and exchanged experiences on building smart customs

On July 28, the Customs Department of Lang Son province (Vietnam) and Nanning Customs (China) held talks, exchanged and shared experiences on building smart customs; coordinated in implementing solutions to facilitate customs clearance activities between the two customs departments of the two countries.

Overview of the talks

From the beginning of 2023 until now, although facing some difficulties, the Customs Department of Lang Son province (Vietnam) and Nanning Customs (China) are always active and proactive in exchanging information, creating favorable conditions for import and export of goods between the two sides.

Accordingly, the total turnover of goods imported and exported through the border gates of Lang Son province (all types) reached over 2.44 billion USD, increase by 103.5% over the same period in 2022). At the same time, the two units have coordinated to implement many other related works

After sharing about the advantages, difficulties, and results achieved in the customs clearance of goods between the two border gate pairs in the past time, leaders of the two customs departments of the two countries shared and exchanged experiences in building digital customs – a stepping stone towards building smart customs.
