Inaugurating the urban area project in the Southeast of Dong Mo town with the total value of 675 billion VND

On the morning of September 30, the investor consortium including Chi Lang Infrastructure Construction Investment Joint Stock Company and BGI Group Joint Stock Company held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Southeast urban area project in Dong Mo town, Chi Lang district.

Attending the ceremony were Mrs. Doan Thi Hau, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council; the leaders of relevant departments, sectors and Chi Lang district and a large number of people in Dong Mo town.

The urban area project in the southeast of Dong Mo town was approved by the Provincial People’s Committee for investment policy and investor approval according to Decision No. 1328/QD-UBND dated July 5, 2021.

Accordingly, the project has a land use scale of 19.8 hectares in Dong Mo town, Chi Lang district, of which the housing construction area is 5.82 hectares including adjacent housing areas, villas, with the population scale of 3,090 people and the total investment of 675 billion VND. The investment, completion of technical infrastructure, and project construction is in the period of 2021-2027.

Regarding implementation, the People’s Committee of Chi Lang district has approved the detailed construction planning at a scale of 1/500, it has completed measuring the land plot and carried out site clearance work.

Up to now, Chi Lang District People’s Committee has cleared 7.6/19.8 hectares. The Provincial People’s Committee has temporarily allocated 5.8 hectares for project infrastructure construction.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, the Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council highly appreciated the investor’s investment preparation; she acknowledged the efforts of functional departments, sectors and Chi Lang District People’s Committee to quickly complete legal procedures, which helped the project start as planned. This project plays an important role in promoting urbanization and upgrading the urban of Dong Mo town, creating new living space for residents as well as development space for Chi Lang district.

To speed up the progress of project implementation, she requested the People’s Committee of Chi Lang district and the investor to well carry out site clearance, proactively resolve difficulties and problems within their authority and contents beyond their authority according to regulations. She also asked the investors to mobilize enough resources and funds for site clearance compensation, enough machinery and equipment for the project according to the proposed schedule, while ensuring environmental hygiene during the construction process. Departments and sectors, according to their functions and tasks, should support investors and Chi Lang District People’s Committee to resolve difficulties and obstacles during project implementation, especially in planning waste disposal areas to serve the project.
