Officially restoring Na Nua (Vietnam) – Na Hua (China) border gate pair

On the morning of December 14, after nearly 4 years of temporarily suspending customs clearance activities due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, goods clearance activities were officially restored at Na Nua (Lang Son, Vietnam) – Na Hua (Guangxi, China) border gates.

With the witness of the leaders of the People’s Committee of Trang Dinh district, Lang Son province, Vietnam and the government of Long Chau district, Guangxi, China and relevant departments, sectors and functional forces of both sides, the Ceremony to restore import and export activities at Na Nua Border Gate (Vietnam) – Na Hoa (China) were held at milestone No.972.

Speaking at the ceremony, leaders of Trang Dinh district (Lang Son, Vietnam) and Long Chau district (Guangxi, China) both affirmed that the two sides were carrying out procedures to restore customs clearance activities through Na Nua – Na Hoa border gate pair. It would help promote trade activities between the two sides, thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of the two localities, two area, and two countries. Additionally, the restoration of customs clearance activities through this pair of border gates also creates favorable conditions for people in the border areas of both sides to have more employment oppotunities, increase income and improve their lives.

Before temporarily suspending customs clearance activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual volume of export and import goods through the Na Hua – Na Nua border gate pair reached about 270 thousand tons and this is one of important border gate pairs for entry-exit of the people and economic, trade cooperation between the two countries.

Soon after the ceremony, 10 trucks from China completed procedures to enter Vietnam and received Vietnamese longan which was exported to the Chinese market.

It is known that, according to new information from the leader of Po Ma Border Guard Station and the leader of Na Nua Border Guard Station, in addition to restoring customs clearance activities for imported and exported goods, the two sides also agreed on entry and exit procedures for border residents traveling to and from both sides with cross-border travel approval document.
