The Provincial People’s Committee and Provincial Confederation of Labor sign the coordination regulation for the 2023–2028 period

On the afternoon of January 4th, at the headquarters of the Provincial Confederation of Labor, a conference was held for the signing of the coordination regulations between the Provincial People’s Committee and the Provincial Confederation of Labor for the period 2023–2028. Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ho Tien Thieu and the President of the Provincial Confederation of Labor co-chaired the conference.

Implementing the coordination regulation in the 2019–2023 period, the Provincial People’s Committee and the Provincial Confederation of Labor concretized the content of the coordination regulation into specific criteria and measures integrated into activities for effective implementation. During the 2019–2023 period, nearly 129,000 union members and workers were supported with a total value of over 44 billion VND. The province established 36 new grassroots trade unions in non-state units and businesses. Additionally, 6,601 new union members were recruited, including 2,839 union members from private sector. Through various emulation movements, over 1,500 projects and products were recognized with a total value of over 3.8 billion VND.

Within the conference, delegates discussed and agreed on some contents in the draft regulation for the 2023–2028 period. Adjustments and additions were made in terms of coordination in organizing launching ceremony and implementing activities in response to “Month of Workers” and “Month of Action for Occupational Safety and Health” (every May) as well as in effectively implementing the movement to build offices, units and businesses that “meet cultural standards.”

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ho Tien Thieu highly appreciated the results of the coordination regulation between the two parties in the past period. In order to effectively implement the Coordination Regulation for the 2023–2028 period, he suggested that relevant departments and sectors actively and effectively implement contents such as coordinating in building policies, laws, exchanging and providing information, coordinating in implementing key tasks and solutions set in the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress and the resolutions of the congresses of Confederation of Labors at all levels for the term 2023–2028 and in recruiting union members and establishing grassroots trade unions.
