On the morning of February 21, the Provincial People’s Committee organized an inspection of the preparation work to organize activities, events and traditional festivals in Lang Son city. Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee chaired the inspection. Participating in the inspection were Mrs. Doan Thi Loan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee; leaders of a number of related departments and sectors.

Based on the implementation plan of the Provincial People’s Committee, the City People’s Committee has developed and issued a plan to organize activities to celebrate the Party, Spring and the Traditional Festivals of Lang Son city in the year of Dragon 2024; established the Organizing Committee of these activities in the city. Accordingly, Lang Son city presides over the organization and participates in directing the implementation of 18 activities. Highlights include organizing 7 traditional festivals in the city; Lang Son City’s open “Culinary Flavors” Contest and the Fair to display, introduce and sell OCOP products – typical local products in the year of Dragon 2024… Preparation work and participation in organizing events activities are basically carried out by the City People’s Committee to ensure progress, appropriate scale, and promptly make necessary adjustments compared to the proposed program and plan.

Concluding the program, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee requests the local Party Committee and authorities to focus on leadership and direction according to central and provincial directives on festival organization; Add a number of activities during the festival and closely coordinate with relevant agencies to well implement security and order, food safety and hygiene, and ensure accommodation facilities for tourists during the festival time. He also requests relevant departments and branches to promote extensive information and propaganda work through many forms; strengthen state management of festivals; reasonably regulate traffic flow and regulation… to ensure festivals and activities take place civilized and effectively.
