30th anniversary of publication of Lang Son Aesthetic Magazine marked

(LSO) – The Literature and Arts Association of Lang Son province organised a ceremony to mark 30th anniversary of the publication of the local Aesthetic Magazine (December 18, 1989-2019) on December 18.

The event was attended by Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Duong Xuan Huyen, leaders from the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, the Literature and Arts Associations of several provinces, and former leaders of the local Aesthetic Magazine.

The Aesthetic Magazine was granted publication permit No.912/BTT on December 18, 1989, and its first edition, with 32 pages in size of 19 x 27cm, was issued on the Lunar New Year of 1990. Until September 1998, the magazine was published monthly, and delivered to readers nationwide.

After three decades of development, the magazine has changed its content and formats to meet increasing demands of the readers. To date, it has published 314 editions.

The magazine received a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister while its staff and members were honoured with a wide range of prizes at the local and national contests.

Addressing at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Duong Xuan Huyen hailed impressive achievements of the magazine in the past 30 years, asking the magazine to pay special attention to ensuring orientation in each published work.

Besides, the magazine must channel focus into political education for its officials, editors, and collaborators.

On the occasion, the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations presented its certificates of merit to one organisation and five individuals. Meanwhile, the certificates of merit from the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee were conferred on four individuals, and those from the Chairman of the provincial Literature and Arts Association were given to one organisation and 15 individuals for their standout contributions to the development of the magazine.
