Lang Son province responds to national campaign on plastic waste prevention

Lang Son province’s Department of Natural Resources and Environment in collaboration with the local Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union launched a ceremony in Huu Lung district on August 14 in response to the national campaign on plastic waste prevention.

The event was attended by leaders of several departments and sectors, the city and district People’s Committees in the province, and over 500 youth union members.

Currently, the use of single-use plastic bags, coupled with limited capacity in waste treatment, has put pressure on the environment and public health. Therefore, it is urgent to handle environmental pollution caused by plastic rubbish, and the mission requires the involvement of whole society.
