Evaluation of materials for training of the Tay ethnic group’s language

(LSO) – On November 13, the Provincial People’s Committee held a meeting to evaluate the content of the program and materials for training the Tay ethnic group’s language. Attending the meeting were Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Chairman of the Tay ethnic language evaluation council; leaders of Department of Training for cadres, civil servants and public employees – Ministry of Home Affairs.

Materials for training the Tay language for cadres, civil servants and public employees working in the province are compiled by the College of Education under the program issued by the Ministry of Education and Training.

The document is revised and supplemented based on the Tay language materials and compiled a number of lesson topics suitable to the dialect, culture, customs of the Tay people, reflecting the development of the socio-economic development in the province.

Documentation includes 10 main topics. Each topic has a variety of units with diverse activities to help learners develop vocabulary, grammar structures and communication skills.

At the meeting, the council members exchanged and discussed the content and format of the document for training the Tay language including program structure; name of topics, lesson; information in topics; words in lessons …

Afterwards, the Evaluation Council voted to adapt the Tay language training material. Accordingly, 100% of the council members vote to choose the option that it needs to be edited and supplemented before issuing the document.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasized the importance of training the Tay language for socio-economic development, ensuring local security and defense. He requested the drafting unit to receive, edit and supplement the opinions of the council members such as agreeing the way of writing words, correcting error of sentences, illustrations, structure of the training program which needs to be more specific, clarify the actual program content… and requested documents to be completed before November 20, 2020 to send to the Department of Home Affairs to submit to the Provincial People’s Committee.
