Meeting to discuss the plan to organize the Spring Press Festival and the exhibition of books and newspapers to welcome the Lunar New Year

On the morning of December 1, the Provincial Journalists Association held a meeting to discuss the plan of the Spring Press Festival and an exhibition of books and newspapers to welcome the 2022 Lunar New Year.

At the meeting, the delegates heard the draft plan to organize the Spring Press Festival and the exhibition of books and newspapers to welcome the 2023 Lunar New Year. Accordingly, the Spring Press Festival and the exhibition of books and newspapers welcoming the Lunar New Year are expected to be divided into 5 phases from January 15, 2023 (December 24, Year of the Tiger) to February 18, 2023 (January 28, Year of the Cat); the venue is at Mailand Hoang Dong urban area, Lang Son city. The opening ceremony of the Spring Press Festival and the exhibition of books and newspapers welcoming the 2023 Lunar New Year is expected to take place on the afternoon of January 15, 2023.

The Press Festival will exhibit Lang Son press and national press; exhibit books, art, fine art, news photos; introduce a number of key achievements in economic, social, defense and security development of the province in 2022, goals and tasks of 2023.

Speaking at the conclusion of the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association affirmed the purpose and meaning of the Spring Press Festival. This is a practical activity to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2023), and the 2023 Lunar New Year. Thereby the festival propagate and introduce the province’s outstanding achievements in 2022, the overview of the press in Lang Son and the whole country to a wide range of people.

He noted the opinions and suggestions of the delegates for the organization plan. At the same time, he hoped the participating agencies and units are expected to improve their responsibilities, select special and suitable publications for display; The Office of the Provincial Journalists Association received comments, edited and completed the plan to organize the Spring Press Festival and the exhibition of books and newspapers to welcome The 2023 Lunar New Year; closely coordinate with relevant agencies, prepare carefully for the press conference to take place solemnly and effectively.
