Final of the first provincial singing contest

On the evening of October 22, at the Provincial Culture and Arts Center, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the final of the 1st Lang Son Provincial Singing Contest in 2023.

The Provincial Singing Contest was launched at the end of July 2023, attracting nearly 100 contestants from districts and Lang Son city in the province. After the preliminary round and semi-finals, 12 contestants with the highest scores were selected by the judge to enter the final round. At the same time, after the semi-final round ended, the performances of the 12 finalists were posted on the contest’s fanpage by the Organizing Committee for voting.

In the final round, 12 contestants presented unique performances in many different genres and styles such as chamber music, folk music and light music. The content of the songs was about praising the Fatherland, the Party and Uncle Ho; the tradition of revolutionary heroes, the country’s cause of innovation, love for the homeland, the country… With talent, passion, efforts and thoughtful preparation, the contestants demonstrated their unique styles and personalities, leaving the audience with many beautiful impressions in the final night.

According to the judges’ assessment, the contestants’ performances in the final round were carefully prepared and invested. Many contestants confidently choose difficult songs that require high technical skills. At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 6 consolation prizes to the best contestants; 2 thematic awards for a contestant with promising voice and a contestant with the most impressive performance style. Furthermore, the Organizing Committee also awarded prizes to the most popular contestant by vote via the contest’s fanpage. Among them, contestant Nguyen Ngoc Nghia from Huu Lung district won the first prize.
