Enterprises: Accompanying poor students in Xu Lang

– Although facing many difficulties in production and business due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, from early 2021 until now, businesses in the province have paid attention to social security work, especially supporting schools in remote areas and disadvantaged students in the province.

For teachers and students of the Ethnic Semi-Boarding Primary and Secondary School, Binh La commune, Binh Gia district, the 2020-2021 school year is memorable. Because the school’s facilities are now more spacious, meeting the requirements of teaching and learning.

It is known that in May 2021, the school received great support from Lang Son Production and Trading Joint Stock Company to build and equip facilities for teaching and learning.

Mr. Hoang Van Huan, Principal of the school said that in the middle of 2021, the school received attention from businesses, supporting materials to build facilities, as well as computers, televisions and other equipment for teaching at the school with a total value of up to 600 million VND. This is a great source of encouragement for teachers and students to teach and study better.

The Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam (Agribank), Lang Son Branch cut the ribbon to inaugurate the work of Thong Nhat Primary and Secondary School in Thong Nhat commune, Loc Binh district

Not only Lang Son Production and Trade Joint Stock Company, in 2021, businesses in the Provincial Business Association have actively joined hands to support schools in remote areas, students with disadvantaged circumstances. From the beginning of 2021 until now, business units have participated in programs and movements launched by the education sector such as supporting the campaign “Supporting education in mountainous, remote and specially disadvantaged areas”; financial support for construction of school sites in disadvantaged areas; supporting candidates to participate in the high school graduation exam in terms of meals, accommodation, means of transportation; supporting equipment for schools and poor students to study online in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic… with a total value of nearly 10 billion VND.

Mr. Ho Phi Dung, Chairman of the Provincial Business Association said that the Provincial Business Association regularly mobilizes and encourages members to perform social security work. In 2021, despite facing many difficulties due to the COVID-19 epidemic, through the association’s advocacy, businesses have actively contributed to the education of the province, creating favorable conditions for poor and disadvantaged students to have better opportunities to access education.

As far as it is concerned, not only through the Provincial Business Association, businesses also participate in supporting students with difficult circumstances through many channels such as the Provincial Education Trade Union; at all levels of study promotion associations, Red Cross Associations, youth unions and so on.

For example, from the beginning of 2021 up to now, through the Education Trade Union, businesses have implemented many activities such as Viettel Lang Son giving gifts to 2,290 primary and secondary school students of extremely difficult communes, border communes, safety zone communes with the amount of 3.25 billion VND; Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company – Vinamilk, TH True Milk presenting 650 gifts to disadvantaged students and so forth.

Ms. Ha Thi Thuy Hang, Chairwoman of the Provincial Education Trade Union said that in 2021, the total amount of money donated by organizations, businesses, mass organizations and people to help disadvantaged students through the Trade Union of the education sector is over 21 billion VND. In which, businesses have made a big contribution. This has shown the concern and companionship of businesses with poor students with difficult circumstances in particular, with the educational cause of the province in general. Hopefully, in the upcoming time, the units will continue to contribute to the sector’s programs and movements to help the province’s education work better and better and have conditions to improve the quality of teaching and learning at all school levels.

Whether through any organization, unit, or businesses’ direct supporting, they all show great interest, companionship and sharing of businesses with poor students in Xu Lang. This is the spirit and very precious gestures of the business community, making a positive contribution to the province’s “cause of growing people”.
