Lang Son: Work on key projects carried out in line with schedule

(LSO) – Key projects in Lang Son province were carried out on schedule in the third quarter of the year, heard a meeting to evaluate progress of key projects in the locality chaired by Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ho Tien Thien on October 8.

Construction on ten projects using non-state capital remained sluggish and faced various challenges in land clearance, according to a report of the steering board for local key projects.

At the event, representatives from districts expressed their determination to remove bottlenecks in ground clearance and accelerate the progress, and recommended investors to provide capital so that the districts can pay compensation for local residents.

Meanwhile, private investors asked for support from competent departments and agencies in examining and handling administrative procedures in planning, building of resettlement areas, specific land prices, and site clearance.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ho Tien Thien hailed Cao Loc, Loc Binh and Dinh Lap districts for accelerating land clearance work for construction of key projects in Quarter 3.

Touching on mission in the last quarter, Thien asked Binh Gia and Loc Binh districts to solve site clearance-related issues for five projects using state capital. With the Ban Lai irrigation project, the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development should build two resettlement areas in Dinh Lap and Loc Binh districts.

For ten projects developed from non-state capital, he ordered districts and relevant sectors to quickly handle all works related to documents and administrative procedures for the investors. Besides, they need to take more drastic measures in site clearance and closely work with the investors to accelerate the construction of resettlement areas, thus contributing to improving local investment climate.
