Groundbreaking for road construction connecting National Highway 4B with National Highway No.18

On May 29, Lang Son Traffic Infrastructure Construction and Maintenance Management Board held a ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of the section from km 0 to km 5 of road works connecting National Highway 4B with National Highway No.18 of Dinh Lap district.

The road project connecting National Highway 4B with National Highway No.18 invested by Lang Son Department of Transport and Communications has a length of more than 10.47 km, the starting point of the road is at km 74+700 in Na Peo village, Bac Lang commune and the end point is adjacent to provincial road No.342, Quang Ninh province.

According to the design, the project is built according to the class 3 mountain road standard, the design speed is 60 km/h, the cross-section of the roadbed is 9 m wide and the road surface is 6 m wide, asphalt concrete structure.

The project has a land use area of 65.86 hectares, a total investment of more than 338 billion VND using local and central budget capital, completion time in the period 2023-2026

After the investment preparation period, the work was eligible to execute the construction of the section from km 0 to km 5 at the beginning of the project route. For the section from km 5 to km 10+47, the investor is currently in the process of selecting contractors and will begin construction in June 2023.

This is an important traffic connection project to strengthen regional links, promote tourism development, attract investment, and transport goods between Lang Son province and Quang Ninh province.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, leaders of the Department of Transport and Communications proposed: During the construction process, the Management Board of Construction and Maintenance of Traffic Infrastructure, contractors promote the highest sense of responsibility, mobilize human resources, equipment and machinery, develop scientific, detailed and appropriate construction plans and plans, ensuring efficiency and quality. In addition, they must strictly comply with technical requirements and regulations of law on project management.

Representatives of leaders of the Department of Transport, the investor, the People’s Committee of Dinh Lap district and contractors performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the project.

Regarding the site clearance, the investor coordinated with Dinh Lap District People’s Committee to urgently clear the work site to speed up the construction and installation of items according to the design.

During the implementation process, the contractors must do well in ensuring security and order, environmental sanitation, and occupational safety, keeping a good relationship with the authorities and people in the project implementation area.
