10 products meeting the standards of typical rural industrial products at the provincial level in 2023

On the afternoon of July 4, the Council for the selection of typical rural industrial products of the province held a meeting to vote for provincial products in 2023.

Mr. Luong Trong Quynh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Chairman of the Voting Council attended and directed the meeting. There were also members of the Voting Council, members of the Jury and an assisting group.

In order to select quality products with potential for development and expansion of their market and to have a plan to support production development and trade promotion, contributing to promoting rural industrial development, from the beginning of 2023, the Voting Council has requested the assisting group to coordinate with the districts and Lang Son city in encouraging and guiding units to send their products to the voting of typical rural industrial products in 2023.

Accordingly, up to June 15, the Voting Council received 17 products and sets of products from 16 units in 7 districts. They belong to the group of processed agricultural, forestry and food products.

Also at the meeting, the Jury announced the evaluation results of 17 products participating in the vote. Accordingly, the Voting Council selected 10/17 products with an average score of 70 points or more to submit to the Provincial People’s Committee for a decision to recognize them as typical rural industrial products at the provincial level. Moreover, these products will be selected into typical rural industrial products at regional and national levels in 2023.

Listening to the reports of the members of the Voting Council and the opinions of the members of the Jury, speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, the Chairman of the Voting Council praised the efforts of the Voting Council and Jury.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee also mentioned a number of limitations in the implementation and selection of typical rural industrial products of the province in 2023, such as the small number of participating products; inefficient propaganda; lack of attention from some districts and Lang Son city;…

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee asked the Department of Industry and Trade, relevant departments and sectors and People’s Committees of districts and Lang Son city to continue implementing One Commune, One Product (OCOP) program for more quality products; to focus on advertisement of the voting for more applications. The Department of Industry and Trade was assigned to assume the prime responsibility and coordinate with related sectors in advising the Provincial People’s Committee to organize a ceremony awarding certificates of typical rural industrial products in 2023.

This is the second time Lang Son province has organized a poll for typical rural industrial products, compared to 2021, the products participating in the 2023’s one were more diverse in categories, meeting the criteria of revenue and meeting the needs of the market.
