The Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People’s Committee receives and works with the delegation of KFHI Organization (Korea) and Samsung Vietnam Complex

On the afternoon of August 17, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Lang Son province Ho Tien Thieu received and worked with the delegation of KFHI Organization (Korea) and Samsung Vietnam Complex led by General Director of Samsung Vietnam Complex Choi Joo Ho.

Attending the meeting were representatives of leaders of some departments and sectors of the province and the People’s Committee of Lang Son city.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee expressed his pleasure to welcome Mr. Choi Joo Ho and the delegation coming to the province to discuss about the operation of Samsung Hope School and future cooperation plans.

The Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee affirmed that the good relationship between the two countries Vietnam – Korea facilitated the cooperation  in the near future in many fields between Lang Son (Vietnam) and Korean localities, partners.

He also informed the delegation about the socio-economic development of Lang Son, especially import and export activities in the province recently, and he emphasized that the import and export turnover of the province could achieve even higher results thanks to the participation of Samsung Company which contributed to the socio-economic development of the province.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Choi Joo Ho thanked the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and leaders of departments and agencies for receiving the delegation. The General Director of Samsung Vietnam Complex also expressed his gratitude towards the authorities and functional sectors of Lang Son province in the past time, especially during the complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic for always supporting and creating favorable conditions for Korean enterprises including Samsung Company in importing components to promote production.

At the meeting, the leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee, representatives of departments and sectors and the General Director of Samsung Vietnam Complex exchanged and discussed a number of contents proposed by the company to Lang Son province about assisting the removal of difficulties in customs clearance of goods at the border gates.

Through exchange and discussion, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee said: “Lang Son always creates the most favorable conditions for the commodity import and export of Korea through the province’s border gates.” He agreed with the cooperation proposal of Samsung Company and affirmed that the two sides would continue to pay attention to promoting cooperation in the coming time.”

Within the meeting, the leader of the People’s Committee of Lang Son city informed the delegation about the operation of Samsung Hope School sponsored by Samsung Electronics Vietnam and the KFHI Organization (Korea).

Accordingly, the school started to be built from November 2021 in Mai Pha commune, Lang Son city and it was inaugurated in September 2022. They officially put it into operation from the beginning of 2023. Currently, Samsung Hope School has nearly 300 students participating in completely free extracurricular activities after school with subjects such as Korean, English and Chinese; computer, music and sports clubs. In addition, students can participate in other activities organized by KFHI and the school.

After visiting the Samsung Hope School, the leaders of the two sides agreed to continue to pay attention to creating better conditions for the school’s activities, contributing to creating the best learning environment for the children.
