Lang Son resumes customs clearance at border gate

(LSO) – Pham Ngoc Thuong, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Lang Son province, on February 5 inspected customs clearance at the Huu Nghi International Border Gate following Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s instructions.

 The provincial leader found out that the export, import and transportation of goods via the common border with China have been conducted in line with regulations. The prevention and control of the novel coronavirus (nCoV) has been maintained while production and business activities have not been affected by the virus.

Pham Ngoc Thuong, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, monitors customs clearance and nCoV prevention and control at the Huu Nghi International Border Gate.

Drivers and traders from China have to undergo medical check-ups before customs clearance procedures, and are quarantined until the trading is completed.

Trucks from Vietnam to China are driven by a special group and undergo medical check-ups at the border gate before and after the trading.

Thuong asked competent forces to join hands in implementing measures against the epidemic on passengers and vehicles at the border gate, ensure customs clearance and rule out risks of infection.

Customs priorities were given to 66 trucks that had stayed at the border gate for days.
