National conference popularizing the Resolutions of the 13th Party Central Committee’s sixth plenum

On the morning of December 5, the Politburo and the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee opened a hybrid national conference on the resolutions adopted at the sixth plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee. The conference was connected to over 11,600 locations with nearly 1.2 million participants. At the central point, attending the conference were Mr. Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member, Prime Minister; Mr. Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat; former Party and State leaders, key officials of Party committees, authorities, socio-political organizations at all levels.

From Lang Son province, attending the conference were Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Delegation of the National Assembly; Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Mrs. Doan Thi Hau, Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Nong Luong Chan, Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Members of the Standing Committee and Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of departments, boards, sectors, socio-political organizations of the province and reporters at the provincial level.

Within two days (from December 5 to December 6), the participants listened to 4 topics including “Continuing to build and perfect the law-governed socialist state of Vietnam in the new period”; “Continuing to renew the Party’s leadership and rule over the political system in the new period”; “Continuing to accelerate the industrialization and modernization of the country until 2030, with a vision to 2045”; “Orientation of the National master plan for the period of 2021 – 2030, with a vision to 2050”.

In the morning of the first day, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac presented the topic “Continuing to build and perfect the law-governed socialist state of Vietnam in the new period”.

Accordingly, the overall objective was to perfect the Vietnam’s law-governed socialist state of the People, by the People, for the People, led by the Communist Party of Vietnam with a complete legal system, which is strictly and consistently implemented; to uphold the Constitution and the law, to respect, ensure and effectively protect human rights and citizens’ rights; state power was unified, clearly assigned, closely coordinated, and effectively controlled; administration and justice was professional, law-governed and modern; the state apparatus was lean, clean, effective and efficient; officials, civil servants and public employees who are qualified, capable, truly professional, with integrity…

A number of tasks and solutions were proposed to continue building and perfecting the Vietnam’s law-governed socialist state in the new period, including promoting propaganda, dissemination, education and raising awareness about the Vietnam’s law-governed socialist state; to ensure the people’s right to mastery, Constitution and the law, to respect, guarantee and protect human rights and citizens’ rights; to continue improving the legal system and strict, effective mechanism for law enforcement, serving the requirements for rapid and sustainable development of the country; to continue renovating the organization and improving the quality of activities of the National Assembly; to strengthen and to integrate into the world to meet the requirements of building and perfecting the law-governed socialist state of Vietnam, to build and defend the Fatherland in the new situation…

The conference is an opportunity for Party committees, authorities at all levels, officials and party members to master the core contents and new points in the documents of the Sixth Plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee. Thereby, it helps raise their awareness and responsibility in implementing the tasks following the spirit of conference. On that basis, all levels, committees, departments, boards, agencies and units can continue to thoroughly understand and widely popularize the documents of the Sixth Plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee in agencies, units and organizations and People; develop action plans and programs to implement specific, practical and effective documents.
