The meeting of the Steering Committee for the celebration of major holidays and important historical events of Lang Son province in the period of 2021-2025

On the afternoon of February 28, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Head of the Steering Committee for the celebration of major holidays and important historical events of Lang Son province in the 2021 period -2025 Hoang Van Nghiem and Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Education Commission of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the Steering Committee Phung Quang Hoi co-chaired the meeting of the Steering Committee.

At the meeting, the delegates studied and considered the draft of the plan to announce the conclusion of the Politburo recognizing Comrade Luong Van Tri as the typical senior leader of the Vietnamese Party and the revolution; activities to celebrate the 115th and 120th birthday of Comrade Luong Van Tri; plan to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Provincial Party Committee’s Traditional Day (June 15, 1933 – June 15, 2023) and the drafts of Propaganda Outline, Proposal, Establishment Decision, Notice of Task assignment of Organizing Committee and Sub-Committees serving the 90th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Provincial Party Committee…

Discussing at the meeting, the delegates made comments on the documents and agreed to hold a ceremony to announce the conclusion of the Politburo recognizing Comrade Luong Van Tri as a typical senior leader of the Vietnamese Party and revolution in March 2023. It is expected that from now to June 2023, the Provincial Party Committee will announce its traditional day and celebrate the 90th anniversary of the traditional day.

Additionally, the delegates also discussed about the establishment and task assignment of the organizing committee and sub-committees; instruct on advertising the events; propaganda work of press agencies; funds for investment in the construction, restoration and embellishment of the Commemorative Area and Commemorative House of Comrade Luong Van Tri; series of activities towards the 115th and 120th birthday of Comrade Luong Van  Tri  (August 17, 1910 – August 17, 2030) in two periods of 2021-2025 and 2025-2030;

Concluding the meeting, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee asked the Propaganda and Education Commission of the Provincial Party Committee to receive the opinions of the delegates and urgently complete the drafts to submit to the leaders of Provincial Party Committee for approval. At the same time, he also requested the Commission to continue advising, monitoring, summarizing and reporting to the Provincial Steering Committee on the progress of commemorative activities, promptly consulting regarding problems arising during the organization.

He required the Department of Information and Communications to direct press agencies to promote propaganda work; to monitor, inspect and strictly punish violations in the post and spreading of false information.

Members of the Steering Committee, relevant agencies and units needed to be proactive, to strengthen their responsibility and coordination for timely, specific, synchronous and effective implementation of the tasks in the Steering Committee’s Plan; to strictly comply with the report requirement of the Provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda and Education Commission in order to promptly summarize and report to the Steering Committee and Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.
