Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People’s Committee received and worked with the Delegation of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam

On the morning of October 25 Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and leaders of a number of departments and sectors of the province received and worked with the Delegation of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam led by Mr. Xiong Bo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Vietnam.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee expressed his joy when the Chinese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam visited and worked in Lang Son province.

The Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasized:  From 2020 up to now, Lang Son province has received 4 rounds of aid for medical equipment and supplies from the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam and the Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. That timely support has helped Lang Son  province have more conditions to effectively prevent the COVID-19 pandemic, especially keeping the “green” zone at the border gate area, thereby helping customs clearance of goods through the province’s border gates to be uninterrupted during the most complicated time of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People’s Committee hoped that through this working visit, the Chinese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam will continue to be a bridge for Lang Son province to continue to further enhance the cooperative relationship with Guangxi, as well as a number of other Chinese localities.

Speaking at the meeting, Chinese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam expressed his pleasure to visit and work in Lang Son province; He thanked the leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee and departments and sectors for giving the delegation a respectful welcome.

The Ambassador also informed about the results of visits by senior leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam to China in recent times. Thereby contributing to promoting comprehensive development cooperation between Vietnam and China in general, and between Lang Son province (Vietnam) and Guangxi (China) in particular.

Ambassador Xiong Bo emphasized: During the most complicated period of the COVID-19 pandemic, Lang Son province in particular and Vietnam in general also paid a lot of attention and helped the Chinese side in pandemic prevention and control.

In addition to continuing cooperation in the field of health, at this working visit, the Chinese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam hoped that Lang Son province will continue to maintain effective cooperation with Guangxi in other fields, especially cooperation to promote trade, import and export of goods through the border gates of the two sides, and at the same time closely coordinate in border management.
