Meeting of the Steering Committee on digital transformation and the Working Group to implement Project No.06

On October 11, Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Digital Transformation, Head of the Working Group to implement Project No.06 of Lang Son province chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee on Digital transformation, the working group implementing Project No.06 in Lang Son province. The conference was held directly at the Provincial People’s Committee connection point and connect online to 11 districts and city.

Recently, the Digital Transformation work in the province continues to be directed and implemented drastically, thereby achieving a number of important results. To date, the whole province has completed 20/30 targets of the target by 2025 set out in Resolution No. 49-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Committee on Digital Transformation. According to the announcement of the Ministry of Information and Communications, the ranking results of the digital transformation index – DTI in 2022 of Lang Son province ranked 6/63 provinces and cities; Lang Son’s digital economy proportion accounts for 12.52% of the province’s GRDP, ranking 12th out of 63 provinces and cities. Additionally, Lang Son is one of the five leading provinces and cities in the spread of information and communications technology (ICT) in other industries and economic activities; the province is one of 7 agencies and units nationwide that won the “Excellent digital transformation state agency” award with its virtual assistant platform, an automatic solution for answering administrative procedures for people and businesses.

Implementation of Project  No.06 (Decision No. 06 dated January 6, 2022 of the Prime Minister approving the Project to develop application of population data, identification and electronic authentication for national digital transformation in period of 2022 – 2025, vision to 2030) in the province are concerned and directed to implement drastically and effectively; project tasks under local responsibility are organized and implemented seriously, ensuring progress according to the proposed roadmap. The implementation of online public services is implemented synchronously from provincial to grassroots levels. The police force has drastically implemented solutions to clean population data, ensuring accurate information sources for sharing and connection; take it seriously, ensuring data is always “correct, complete, clean, and alive”; complete the issuance of citizen identification cards to 100% of eligible citizens; is the third unit nationwide to complete the target of granting electronic identity accounts.

Overview of the meeting

At the meeting, representatives of departments, sectors, and People’s Committees of districts and city presented presentations on the results achieved in implementing digital transformation work of agencies and units; proposed recommendations and proposals for implementation, and propose some solutions for implementation in the near future.

On this occasion, the Provincial Steering Committee for Digital Transformation awarded prizes to 13 collectives and 44 individuals who won prizes at the multiple-choice contest to learn about digital transformation in Lang Son province in 2023.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee highly appreciated the results achieved on digital transformation. Besides the results achieved, he also pointed out limitations that need to be overcome. The chairman emphasized: In the last months of 2023, Steering Committee members need to review all targets to promptly implement unfinished content; promote the application of population data to resolve administrative procedures; strengthen inspection and guidance on the implementation of plans on digital transformation from the province to the grassroots; promote the proactiveness of users of digital applications; The Department of Information and Communications and the Provincial Public Security continue to promote their role in advising the Provincial People’s Committee in implementing Project No.06 and the digital transformation plan.
