Launching a campaign to make the world cleaner 2020 in Van Quan

(LSO) – On October 3, 2020, in Tu Xuyen commune (Van Quan district), the Department of Natural Resources and Environment coordinated with the People’s Committee of Van Quan district to launch a campaign to make the world cleaner in 2020.

Attending the ceremony were leaders of the Environmental Protection Department, Natural Resources and Environment Division of Van Quan district; leaders of Tu Xuyen commune and over 100 youth union members in the district.

At the ceremony, leaders of Provincial Environmental Protection Department emphasized the purpose and meaning of the campaign to make the world cleaner. With the theme “Together to act to change the world”, the campaign in 2020 aims to raise the awareness and responsibility of the community, therefore, to actively join hands and contribute to environmental protection of the province.

The launching ceremony attracted a large number of people from villages and unions in communes and districts. As soon as the launching ceremony finished, the Organizing Committee coordinated to propagandize on the restriction on the use of disposable plastic products, using traditional environmentally friendly items such as biodegradable baskets, bags to replace the use of non-biodegradable plastic bags in daily life…; distributing over 100kg of eco-friendly plastic bags to people. Along with that, the total sanitation of the area in agencies, village roads, alleys with specific activities including waste collection, classification and treatment, tree trimming and repairing fence; cleaning livestock and poultry areas.
