First 120 people eligible to leave quarantine area in Lang Son

(LSO) – As many as 120 people who had been under quarantine from February 3 at barracks of Regiment 123 of the Lang Son Military High Command in the northern border province of Lang Son, in the face of the acute respiratory disease caused by a novel coronavirus (COVID-19), have become eligible to return to their normal lives.

The barracks, serving as the quarantine zone in Lang Son province, accommodate about 400 people returning home from China.

All the people in the zone received medical checkups and had their temperature taken daily, as well as frequently got update on COVID-19 preventive measures.

Those having fulfilled quarantine requirements return to normal lives

To date, the 14-day quarantine time of those 120 people has ended. All of those people are in good health and eligible to return to their normal lives with a certificate stating that they underwent the necessary quarantine.

Director of the provincial centre for disease control Dao Dinh Cuong said the remaining cases in the zone will be able to finish their quarantine if they are in stable health conditions after 14 days.

Upon their departure, the regiment will spray disinfectant in the whole area. Used linen and clothes will be sterilised in line with regulations of the Health Ministry, so that the area can accommodate more Vietnamese citizens returning from China in the time to come.
