Over 4,000 people attend the career orientation day

On the morning of June 12, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA) in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training, Provincial Youth Union, People’s Committee of Lang Son city organized the “Career orientation – Recruitment – Job introduction” Day in 2022.

Attending the festival were Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of departments, sectors and mass organizations of the province and Lang Son city; leader of the Provincial Business Association; representative from more than 30 vocational education and training institutions, training institutions, businesses inside and outside the province and over 4,000 students, and employees in the province.

Lang Son is a border province with a population of nearly 800,000 people; the proportion of the labor force aged 15 and over accounts for 63.4% of the total population. In the province every year, there are over 20,000 people graduating from high schools, thousands of people graduating from universities, colleges and vocational education and training institutions.

The event takes place while 12th grade students are urgently preparing for high school graduation exams and admission to universities and colleges. This is one of the meaningful activities in career orientation and recruitment, thereby providing accurate and timely information on the domestic and foreign labor market, information on employment, vocational training, social insurance, unemployment insurance for employees and employers, connecting labor supply and demand, contributing to timely support businesses and employees affected by the COVID-19 pandemic to restore production and business activities, creating jobs, reducing the unemployment rate, reducing the rate of poor households, increasing the rate of trained workers and ensuring social welfare in the province.

During the event, the leaders of a number of departments, sectors, enterprises, and vocational education and training institutions expressed their opinions on categorizing students, career orientation and information on demand for labor resources.
