Launching New Year tree planting festival “in gratitude to Uncle Ho ” in the border area

On January 30, at Ba Son Border Guard Station, Cao Lau commune, Cao Loc district, the Provincial Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Union in Lang Son province coordinated with the Border Guard Command of Lang Son province to launch and implement the New Year tree planting program “in gratitude to Uncle Ho”. Attending the launching ceremony on the Central side, were Mrs. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Chairwoman of the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; Colonel Nguyen Thanh Hai, Vice Chairman of Politics of the Vietnam Border Guard; On the side of Lang Son province, there were Mrs. Giap Thi Bac, Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, leaders of a number of departments, agencies, and a large number of union members and young people in the district.

At the launching ceremony, the Central Youth Union, the Central Council supported the scholarship “Helping students  to school” for 20 elementary, middle and high school students in Cao Lau commune; Primary and Secondary School students in Xuat Le Commune. The organizers of the program donated 400 Bat Do bamboo seedlings to Ba Son Border Guard Station to implement the model of “Vietnamese Border Bamboo” and 30 million VND to build the road to the border marker No. 1190. Here, the Organizing Committee of the program supported 2,000 anise and yellow flower tea trees; 1,800 pine trees for households with difficult circumstances to start a business in the district.

After the launching ceremony, union members and young people implemented to plant yellow tea trees for policy families; planted peach blossom trees at the Ba Son border post; planted bamboo at the borderline in Tan Cuong village, Xuat Le commune and environmental sanitation in Cao Lau commune, Cao Loc district.

The New Year tree planting program “in gratitude to Uncle Ho”  is an annual activity with practical significance, contributing to beautifying the environment, contributing to the response to climate change and environmental pollution.
