In June 2022, Quang Anh and his father, Nong Quang Duy, cycled through Vietnam from Lang Son city to Ca Mau Cape, making the people of Lang Son watch and be proud of the journey that he conquered. In the summer of this year, instead of “relaxing” after a tiring school year, Quang Anh wished to conquer new roads by cycling through 4 countries including: Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand. After careful preparation and physical training, on June 1, 2023, Quang Anh and his father decided to choose the route: Lang Son city, Ha Tinh province, Vientiane (Laos), Bangkok (Thailand), Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Ho Chi Minh City to conquer and challenge themselves one more time.

Quang Anh shared: This year is the second year I cycled more than 2,000 km. Because I have prepared well and have a good physical condition, I no longer feel exhausted, tired and want to give up halfway like last year. Traveling through countries, I learned more about the culture, customs and habits of the land,  people and enjoyed many delicious and strange dishes of other countries. architecture that was previously only seen on television and books. When conquering a new destination, I feel very happy and proud. This year, I have difficulty communicating in foreign countries. Next school year, I will try to learn foreign languages better to have more equipment for new journeys.

As a companion with his children along the way, Mr. Nong Quang Duy said: I was suggested by a friend for this journey, after researching the route, I found that 3 countries: Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand are 3 neighboring countries and are suitable for the desired route, so I talked to Quang Anh and my son responded very positively. In order to prepare for the cycling journey through the countries, I had prepared more than 2 months before departure such as identification documents, visas, passports to facilitate the movement of father and son. , as well as learn about culture, customs and habits in other countries such as clothes when visiting, sightseeing, food, drinks…

It is known that on this route, on average, Quang Anh and his son cycle about 100 km every day, in the delta areas, it gradually increases from 120 km to 130 km. The evening will be the time for father and son to rest and stay healthy for the next days. Quang Anh’s father commented: For this year’s journey, I find that Quang Anh is more mature every day through what he sees, hears and experiences. If last year, he got tire punctured many times, this year, he has been more attentive, know how to move and has his own calculations, so we only got punctured once all the way.

The journey of more than 2,800 km in 30 days in the summer of 2023 of the 10-year-old boy from Lang Son has ended. This trip helps Quang Duy and Quang Anh have more lessons, experiences culture, cuisine, and landscapes in many different countries. Believing that, with her determination to conquer difficulties and his love of travel and discovery, Nong Quang Anh will continue to achieve more impressive cycling achievements in the coming time.

Before that, last summer, Nong Quang Anh and his father completed a cycling journey across Vietnam from Lang Son to Cape Ca Mau. Specifically at 5 am on June 1, 2022, Quang Anh and his father departed from Lang Son city, moved through different roads through provinces such as Nghe An, Can Tho, Vinh Long, Tien Giang… and the last destination at Ca Mau Cape in 27 days with a distance of more than 2,400 km.
