Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee dialogues with farmers

On the morning of September 18, the Provincial Farmers’ Association held a conference of the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee to have dialogue with farmers in 2023.

Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee directly attended the dialogue conference. Also attending the conference wereMrs. Giap Thi Bac, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission; leaders of departments, branches, sectors and unions of the province; leaders of People’s Committees of districts and city and more than 200 farmer delegates representing nearly 108,700 farmer members throughout the province.

At the conference, there were 14 opinions and recommendations from farmer members revolving around contents such as: solutions to support farmers in producing and consuming agricultural products; investment issues for agricultural and rural infrastructure; Policy mechanisms to support farmers in production…

In the spirit of inquiry, democracy, openness, frankness and listening, comments  at the conference were answered directly by the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee and leaders of departments and sectors, providing additional information to farmer members.

Speaking at the conference, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee requested departments, sectors, districts and city to promote a sense of responsibility in receiving and resolving comments and suggestions from farmer members; synthesize and evaluate the implementation and resolution of farmer members’ opinions, avoiding discussions so that there is no progress. At the same time, it is necessary to continue to research and promptly propose policies to best support farmers; orient and support farmers in green, clean and safe production; pay attention and create conditions to meet the loan needs of farmers in production development; strengthen the promotion of support and production links between farmers and businesses and cooperatives from production to processing and product consumption…

For farmers – the main subjects in implementing industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas, they need to see their responsibilities and roles, maximize their initiative and creativity, and rise up in production; proactively learn to access central and provincial policies in supporting the development of agricultural production; focus on building links between farmers and businesses; responsible for producing clean, safe products that meet consumer requirements and comply with production regulations, developing strong commodity areas, bringing high and lasting economic value.
