Requirements for title of “Excellent Lang Son Citizen” reviewed

(LSO) – Vice Chairman of the Lang Son provincial People’s Committee Duong Xuan Huyen, who is also First Vice Chairman of the provincial Emulation and Reward Council, chaired a symposium on November 8 to review the provincial People’s Council’s draft resolution on requirements for awarding the title of “Excellent Lang Son Citizen”.

In order to honour the most excellent individuals for their contributions to the province in all social aspects, the provincial Department of Home Affairs devised the draft resolution stipulating the consideration of awarding the title.

The title is the highest award under the provincial authority to reward individuals who have made contributions in labor, production, business, study and fighting or having jobs and actions to build, protect and develop the province.

The department acquired 40 opinions from agencies, units, departments and five others on its portal to edit the draft resolution’s contents.

After leaders of the department approved the draft resolution, delegates presented opinions on the nomination for the award, review for the process, the rate of voting at emulation and reward councils at all levels, criteria for the nomination, the number of awardees and awarding time, and rights of the awardees.

Concluding the event, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Duong Xuan Huyen agreed with contents such as awarding the title every five years, and the selection principles must be correct, public, democratic and fair./.
