87 students participate in the national exam for gifted students in the 2023 – 2024 school year

On the afternoon of January 4, the Exam Council of the National Exam for High School Gifted Students for the 2023 – 2024 school year in Lang Son province held the opening ceremony of the exam at Chu Van An High School for the Gifted, Lang Son city.

This year is the first year to implement the new regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, in which a maximum of 10 candidates of each unit in one subject will be allowed. Participating in the exam, Lang Son province had 87 candidates compete in 9 subjects including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, English and Chinese. They are students from Chu Van An High School for the Gifted, Chi Lang High School and Provincial Ethnic Boarding High School.

The exam lasts 2 days (January 5 and 6) at Chu Van An High School for the Gifted, Lang Son city. The Exam Council includes nearly 50 officials and teachers from the Department of Education and Training of Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Lang Son provinces and Vinh University.

The National Exam for High School Gifted Students is organized annually by the Ministry of Education and Training to encourage teachers and learners to promote their creative abilities in teaching and learning. It also contributes the improvement of teaching and learning quality, the quality of management and direction of all levels of educational management. At the same time, it helps discover students with talent in certain subjects and support them to be the potential human resources for the country.
