Follow up the preparation for the organization of the workshop on tourism development in Lang Son province

(LSO) – In the morning of October 7th, Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Vice Chairman of Lang Son’s Provincial People’s Committee chaired the meeting to review and follow up the progress of the preparation for the workshop “Tourism Development Project of Lang Son Province to ward2030.”

The workshop “Tourism Development Project of Lang Son Province to ward2030” is expected to be held at the end of October 2020 with the ultimate aim to assess the current status of Lang Son tourism in the period 2010-2019, identify major solutions to develop tourism in order to turn the tourism industry into a spearhead economic sector by 2030.

To organize the workshop, following the instructions of the Provincial People’s Committee, the Department of Culture – Sports and Tourism has contacted and coordinated with Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, related  departments and units to prepare presentations, invite foreign keynote speakers, and provide logistical support.

Up to now, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has received 15 papers from a number of units, completed the tentative programme, prepared a welcome art and musical performance show and prepared images and products for display.

At the meeting, the delegates focused on discussing a number of contents such as workshop size, documentary’s content, quality of presentations, detailed working programme, entertainment programs, etc.

In conclusion, Mr. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasized that the workshop was the foundation to build the provincial project to promote tourism development making contribution to the successful implementation of the key action program Resolution as mentioned in the Seventh Provincial Party Congress.

He also requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to reflect up on comments and promote the role and responsibility of the department’s leaders to coordinate with other departments and units to organize the workshop including choosing the appropriate timing and venue. Regarding presentations and materials for the workshops, it is important for the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to carefully prepare presentations, reports, memorandum and working programme  of the workshop.

Regarding Art and Music Performance programme should be chosen carefully to show Lang Son’ identities. At the same time, the Department needs to actively contact and coordinate with agencies and units to prepare well the content of the workshop and organize the workshop as scheduled.
