Opening the Chestnut Season and performing Then, Sli, and Luon singings in Quang Lac Commune in 2023

On the morning of August 26, the People’s Committee of Quang Lac commune, Lang Son city held the opening ceremony of the Chestnut Season and an exchange performance of Then, Sli, and Luon singings in Quang Lac commune in 2023.

Attending the ceremony were the leaders of some provincial departments, boards, sectors, the People’s Committee of Lang Son city, many people and tourists.

In the event, the delegates enjoyed the special folk songs from the art clubs in the city and the art teams from the villages in Quang Lac commune with the theme of praising the Party, Uncle Ho and the love for homeland and country.

It is known that the chestnut model has been planted in Quang Lac commune since 2003, up to now, the chestnut growing area in the commune has been over 100 hectares, the average annual output is tens of tons, bringing high income to the local people in the commune. Fresh chestnuts meet the OCOP standard of Lang Son city in 2021.

This is the second year that Quang Lac commune has organized the opening of the chestnut season with the aim of honoring, preserving and developing chestnut farming in the commune, and at the same time creating opportunities for gardeners to exchange, learn from each other share experiences.

Thereby, it contributes to promoting the commune’s OCOP products in association with the preservation and promotion of the ethnic identity in the area, promoting economic development, culture, tourism and local services.
