The leader of the Provincial People’s Committee inspected the preparation for the Provincial Party Congress at Department of Information and Communications

(LSO) – On September 16, Mr. Nguyen Long Hai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee inspected the preparation for the 17^th Provincial Party Congress at Department of Information and Communications.

Attending the inspection session were the representatives of the Propaganda Commission of the Provincial Party Committee, the Office of the Provincial Party Committee, some provincial departments, sectors, and press agencies.

Following up the contents of the superiors’ directive documents, from the beginning of 2020 up to now, Department of Information and Communications has issued two plans, 13 documents to urge and guide press agencies in the province, Culture and Information Divisions in districts and the city to propagate about Party Congresses at all levels and other relevant contents and so on.

Accordingly, agencies and units have increased the broadcasting time, the number of news and articles propagating about congresses. From the beginning of 2020 up to now, District Culture, Sports and Communications Centers, Lang Son City Center for Culture and Sports have published over 500 articles and columns broadcast on the loudspeaker system; mobile propaganda with nearly 200 sessions; propaganda through the loudspeaker system and other forms at the grassroots with nearly 1,900 times, etc,.

Along with that, postal businesses have strengthened the implementation of measures to ensure safety and security in service provision. Telecommunications businesses have arranged technical clusters and centers to operate technical infrastructure networks of mobile transmission stations and fixed broadband network nodes in districts and the city, assigning specific tasks to individuals to be responsible for response, incident handling and so forth.

At the inspection session, the delegates discussed and proposed a number of contents related to the service of the Provincial Party Congress, such as visual propaganda in the gateways to the province and Lang Son city, the border gate area; propaganda on social networks, journalists’ operational issues at the congress and so on.

Concluding the inspection session, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee highly appreciated Department of Information and Communications and other units in the sector, press agencies for actively and proactively implementing work to serve Party Congresses at all levels, the Provincial Party Congress for many months.

He requested that in the upcoming time, Department of Information and Communications continue to do well its duties as an advisory body of the Provincial People’s Committee in propagating the congress. The press agencies must intensify propaganda about the province’s outstanding results in the past term.

Department of Information and Communications and the units related to telecommunications network activities need to closely coordinate with functional units, ensuring absolute safety and security for the network from now to the end of the congress; set up an on-duty group, grasping fluctuations and quickly reporting for timely handling and so on.
