Training on countering, preventing and handling false, bad and malicious information in cyberspace

(LSO) – On October 22, the Provincial Steering Committee on protecting the Party’s ideological foundation, countering wrongful and hostile views (referred to as Steering Committee 35) organized the training conference on countering, preventing and processing false, bad and malicious information on cyberspace.
Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 35 attended and directed the conference.
Attending the training course were members of the Provincial Steering Committee 35, the Experts Group 35, the Secretariat of the Provincial Steering Committee 35; members of the steering committees 35 and the secretariat of the steering committees 35 in districts and the city, affiliated party committees; leaders of the Provincial Journalists Association, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association and so on.

At the conference, Major General Nguyen Van Tin, former Deputy Director of the Propaganda and Training Commission, General Political Department of the Vietnam People’s Army, Member of the Experts Group 35 of the Central Military Commission and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu Cuc, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Commission of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee presented four topics. In particular, the focus is on how to identify the plots and tactics of hostile forces on cyberspace and solutions to prevent and combat in the new situation; skills to develop and organize a force to fight against false, bad and malicious information on cyberspace; experience in directing and organizing the writing of news and articles to rebut wrongful and reactionary views on cyberspace; practice direct operations with specific situations on social networks and so on.
Major General Nguyen Van Tin, former Deputy Director of the Propaganda and Training Commission, General Political Department of the Vietnam People’s Army, Member of the Experts Group 35, the Central Military Commission presented some topics at the conference.

Speaking at the conference, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that the conference was organized so that the contingent of cadres and forces directly performing tasks, working for the Provincial Steering Committee 35 could update, supplement and improve knowledge and awareness about the plots and tactics of hostile forces, political opportunities. At the same time, this is an opportunity for delegates attending the conference to exchange and share experiences and skills in fighting and refuting bad and malicious information on cyberspace. Thereby, it will help meet the requirements of the assigned tasks, especially protecting the results of the 17th Lang Son Provincial Party Congress and the preparation of the 13th National Party Congress successfully.
The conference is held in two days (October 22 and 23, 2020).
