Opening of Ky Lua Walking Street, Lang Son City

(LSO) – On the evening of October 16, the Management Board of Ky Lua Walking Street, Lang Son City held the opening ceremony of Ky Lua Walking Street.

Attending the opening ceremony were the Mrs. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Hoang Van Nghiem, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of People’s Council of Lang Son province.

As well as the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee of the People’s Council, leaders of the People’s Committee; Provincial Delegation of National Assembly; leaders of departments, commissions, sectors, parties, unions, armed forces of Lang Son province; Vietnamese heroic mothers; armed force heroes; former leaders of Lang Son province; the old comrades of the revolution, contributors to the revolution; urban deputies of Vietnam Urban Association; representatives of districts and cities inside and outside the province; leaders of the City Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, branches, unions and people in Lang Son city.

Ky Lua Walking street in Lang Son city started building since June 2020. In the first phase (from now to October 2021), the Walking Street space  spreads across the roads of Le Lai, Luong Van Tri, Tran Quoc Toan, Bac Son and the area around Ky Lua market with a total length of 1,300 m.

 From 18:00 to 24:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, there will be cultural performances, street art performances, folk games, souvenir goods, food, special agricultural products of Lang Son to serve tourists.

In recent years, in implementing the tourism development program, Lang Son province has implemented many solutions to improve the quality of tourism services, increase the attractiveness and attract tourists. Only in 2019, the number of tourists coming to Lang Son province reached over 3 million, of which more than 2 million tourists came to Lang Son city.

Leaders of provinces and city visited Ky Lua Walking Street

Putting Ky Lua Walking street into operation will meet the needs of tourists, at the same time enhancing the introduction and promotion of cultural identity, cuisine and local specialties, contributing to promoting tourism, trade and service development. This is also one of the activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Lang Son city (October 17, 1950 – October 17, 2020) and receiving of the First Class Independence Medal.

Ky Lua Walking Street is a new tourism product, meeting the entertainment and shoppingt needs of tourists, promising to increase the attractiveness of Lang Son tourism.

After the opening ceremony, the leaders of the province, leaders of Lang Son city and the guests visited the booths at Ky Lua Walking Street.
