The Provincial People’s Committee convened its regular meeting in October

(LSO) – On October 27, 2020, the Provincial People’s Committee held its regular meeting in October 2020. Mr. Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee chaired the meeting.

In this session, delegates discussed and commented on 11 draft reports and statements submitted by seven agencies. In particular, the meeting spent a lot of time evaluating and discussing the draft report of the Provincial People’s Committee on the situation and results of implementing the tasks and goals of socio-economic development in 2020; goals and tasks in 2021.

In 2020, natural disasters and epidemics, especially the Covid-19 pandemic, have been developing very complicatedly, causing great impact, directly affecting all socio-economic fields and people’s lives in the province.

In this situation, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People’s Council, and the Provincial People’s Committee have focused on drastically leading, directing and managing, solving difficulties and obstacles, implementing “dual goals” of both the effective epidemic prevention and control and the socio-economic development.

Thereby, the province has achieved positive results; for example, the epidemic prevention and control has achieved high results; services trade has resumed stable operations; agriculture-forestry and industry production have increased slightly; budget revenue and expenditure have reached the set plan; social security and social order and safety have been guaranteed; national defense, security and foreign affairs have been strengthened.

Concluding this content, besides the achievements stated in the draft report, the  Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee asked the drafting agency to supplement and clarify some contents such as handling and solving problems in land use planning and plan; recalculate the GRDP growth rate and per capita income in 2020; more clearly evaluate the results of implementing the rural transport development project; add the fields of culture, foreign activities.

Regarding tasks and solutions in 2021, the drafting agency needs to supplement some targets related to new-style rural building; adjust the boundaries of Dong Dang – Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone; strive to basically complete the site clearance for Component 2, Huu Nghi – Chi Lang section of Bac Giang – Lang Son expressway; implement the project to combat tax loss for transportation and specialized motorbike business in the province and so on.

The meeting also heard and discussed some other issues such as the draft report of the Provincial People’s Committee on the implementation of budget revenue and expenditure estimates in 2020, plans to allocate local budget in 2021 and the three-year finance and state budget plan for 2021-2023; the draft Statement of the Provincial People’s Committee on the proposal to develop the Resolution of the Provincial People’s Council on the policy to support the construction of cultural houses in villages and in residential groups; grounds for exercise and sports in communes, wards and townships in Lang Son province in the 2021-2025 period; the draft Statement of the Provincial People’s Committee and the Resolution on the rearrangement and merger of villages and residential groups in Lang Son province by 2020. At the same time, a number of other important contents were discussed and adopted.
