Considering and unifying the Plan for the organization of important anniversaries and events in 2021

(LSO) – On the afternoon of December 14, 2020, Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for important anniversaries and events in Lang Son province in the 2021 – 2025 period chaired the meeting to consider and unify the Plan to organize important anniversaries and events in 2021 in the province. Attending the meeting were representatives of departments, committees, agencies in the province; leaders of the People’s Committees of districts and the city.

According to the report, the draft Plan to organize important anniversaries and events in 2021 has three main contents: activities to cheer the Party and the Spring of the Year of the Buffalo 2021; celebrate the country’s anniversaries and the province’s anniversaries of 2021.

In which, activities to cheer the Party and the Spring of the Year of the Buffalo in 2021 include three contents: organizing the 4^th Xu Lang Peach Blossom Festival – the Spring of the Year of the Buffalo in 2021; activities to cheer the Party, the Spring of the Year of the Buffalo; organize Xu Lang Spring Festival 2021.

Activities to celebrate the country’s anniversaries in 2021 include four contents: organizing activities to celebrate the success of the 13^th National Party Congress; to celebrate the election of deputies to the 15^th National Assembly and deputies of the People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021 – 2026 term associated with the 45^th anniversary of the General Election of the National Assembly of the unified Vietnam (April 25, 1976 – April 25, 2020); President Ho Chi Minh’s 131^st birthday anniversary associated with the 110^th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s departure to find  ways to save the country; the 75^th anniversary of the National Resistance.

Activities to celebrate the province’s anniversaries in 2021 include three main contents: the 80^th anniversary of the establishment of the National Rescue Team 1 (February 23, 2021); the 190^th anniversary of the founding of Lang Son province (November 4, 1831 – November 4, 2021) and the 11^th culture, sport and tourism festival of ethnic groups in the northeastern region in Lang Son (November 3 – November 5, 2021).

At the meeting, delegates discussed and gave 16 comments on each important event of the province such as need to promote propaganda for commemorative activities; content integration of some events; adjusting and considering the time, size and venue of events to be more suitable; work of ensuring security and order and so on.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Duong Xuan Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee requested Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to receive opinions at the meeting, at the same time, coordinate with relevant agencies to build a framework plan, orienting the scale of each activity, integrating some appropriate supporting activities. In particular, it is necessary to clarify and highlight the specific contents of the plan to cheer the Party and the spring and the plan to celebrate the 190^th anniversary of founding the province. At the same time, activities must ensure compliance with Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control measures. In particular, the People’s Committees of districts and the city must continue to well organize activities to cheer the Party and the spring, in which, choosing to hold a model festival; focus on socialization in organizing activities.

He suggested that the member units of the Steering Committee raise the sense of responsibility to coordinate and well organize activities and events, ensuring rich traditional cultural identity combining elements of civilization, modernization, safety, practicality and efficiency.
