Debating the Draft Regulation on criteria for recognizing the urban meeting civilization standards

– On April 29, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held a seminar on social debate over the Draft Regulation on criteria for recognizing the urban meeting civilization standards of Provincial People’s Committee in in Lang Son province.

The seminar was attended by the leaders of the Commission for Mass Mobilization  of the Provincial Party Committee; socio-political organizations of the province; advisory councils of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and related experts; representative of the People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Son city.

The Draft Regulation on the criteria for recognizing the urban meeting civilization standards in Lang Son province of the Provincial People’s Committee includes 4 chapters, 12 articles, with many contents such as specifying criteria, evaluation methods; order and procedures for consideration and recognition of a civilized urban street; implementation responsibilities and funding. The seminar received 8 profound, enthusiastic and specific comments. The participants all affirmed that the regulation on the criteria for recognizing the urban meeting civilization standards in the province was necessary; agreed with the draft content and focused on clarifying the coherence, feasibility, suitability with local practical conditions.

In particular, the delegates focused on commenting on the contents including adding legal bases to the draft; clarifying the content of the civilized urban; clearly defining the subjects implementing the criteria; removing a number of inappropriate criteria, adding groups of criteria, the implementation of the criteria, putting the content of civilized urban into conventions of residential areas. …

After listening to the comments of the delegates, representatives of the Department of Construction explained and clarified some contents that the delegates were interested in.

After the meeting, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee would collect all comments and send them to the relevant authorities for completed draft and submit it to the Provincial People’s Committee for consideration.
